In 1946, legendary Red Sox player Ted Williams hit the longest home run in Fenway Park history 502 feet. The ball hit the straw hat of a fan sitting inSeat 21 in Row 37 of Section 42. The spot where he was sitting was painted red in 1984 to honor the achievement.
