VELOCORE+ is the next generation of Fujikuras ground-breaking proprietary technology. The technology is designed for ultimate clubhead stabilization and promotes consistent center-face contact, tightening dispersion and increasing control of the club throughout the swing. Featuring a re-engineered multi-material bias core, VELOCORE+ enhances the feel and performance of VENTUS with an additional premium bias core material, promoting even tighter dispersion and increased ball speeds.

The exceptionally engineered Ventus is designed to significantly tighten shot dispersion and maximize ball speed especially on off-center shots. Ventus is a Tour-inspired profile and the first to include Fujikuras all-new VeloCore Technologyin an accelerated taper, ultra-stiff tip profile. Maximum energy transfer from the tip section boosts the clubheads performance and a straight taper design enhances loading and feel.

Fujikura Shaft Profile Guide

The table below shows the stiffness profile across three sections tip, mid, and handle for each Fujikura shaft model. Tip stiffness most directly affects launch and spin. Handle stiffness influences feel and load during the swing.

Profile stiffness scale from softest to firmest: Soft Medium Firm Stiff Ultra-stiff. Tip stiffness most directly influences launch angle and spin rate. A stiffer tip produces lower launch and lower spin. A softer tip produces higher launch and more spin.

The Ventus Black is built specifically for lower launch and lower spin a firmer, more stable feel with an ultra-stiff tip section designed to hold up under aggressive transition moves. It works best for stronger ball strikers who are already creating too much height or spin and want to flatten their ball flight. It’s also one of the most overfitted shafts in the Ventus lineup a lot of golfers gravitate toward it because it sounds tour-level, when their actual swing would fit Ventus Blue or even Red much better.
