This already-scarce catalogue includes the major portraits of Elsie de Wolfe (by Albert Sterner, Marcel Vertes, etc.), watercolors, and gouaches of her residences (After All, Villa Trianon, etc.) There are also lots featuring the furniture of Paul Berry, Dorothy Draper, Tony Duquette, Frances Elkins, Jean-Michel Frank, T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings (ironically a nemesis of de Wolfes), Billy Haines, Maison Jansen, Syrie Maugham, Sister Parish, etc.

Having learned the value of publicity during her Broadway years, de Wolfe went to work projecting the image of the socially prominent tastemaker that she indeed had become. She could have written a book on public relations; instead, she published The House in Good Taste.
