A vintage enamelled Lejeune car mascot (Labrador, late with pheasant) this item retails for $687 on the official Lejeune website.

The Labrador Retriever is the worlds top gundog today, having risen from relative obscurity following its initial arrival in Britain. In the early 1800s, a select group of aristocrats bought these dogs from fishermen returning from Newfoundland and developed the breed as a shooting companion on their own estates. The breed is characterised by its typical broad head, dense waterproof coat, and a strong otter tail. A tail that can clear a low coffee table with one over-eager swish.

This mascot was carried by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II for many many years on a selection of her personal Land Rover Defenders and Range Rovers.
